As a kid (11y) I drove my parents mad to buy me a Vectrex System. A lot of Toy stores in The Netherlands had a Vectrex display (blue ball, some with a coin mechanism) where you could play (as long as there wasn't another kid). I developed a skill to detect this display when we went shopping in other towns, and HAD to stand in line to play. When the Vectrex dropped in price (fl. 199,-/Euro 99,-) I finally got one, and bought some games (Armor Attack, Webwarp, Narzod, Cosmic Chasm, Scramble). At the age of 13/14 I sold my Vectrex to invest in a Commodore C64.
At the age of 31 I bought a secondhand Vectrex and started this
site and my collection. I started to collect everything, but I am now focussing on obtaining a perfect European collection (Blitz could have a better box, everything else is MINT). Soccer Football is still sealed!
