I had a great day last sunday, displaying my
mini-arcade and Vectrex. Alex Nicholson was also
here, showing his Spike Circus demo, and Logo. Spike Circus has
quite a learning curve, but very challenging. Riding a uni-cycle
is difficult enough, but juggling at the same time ... oeph. John
Maccallan came by on saturday, and Alex, John, Martijn and me had
a few beers in Arnhem. John dropped off his new VecVox with build
in speaker, and the 3d goggles. John is about to go on a holiday
so we have to wait some more before the definite version of the
goggles, but they look (and work) very well. Joerg
did also come by on sunday. Great weekend! Here

Exclusive info from Alex:
"I guess in the UK logo was better known than elsewhere.. It uses an animaction style hardware architecture. (each Cart will ship with 8K of onboard RAM) but the game itself is totally new and coded from scratch. I have taken a text based programming language and implemented it on the Vectrex to use "Glyphs" you basically write a program in "Egyptian style hieroglyphics" A sequence of icons with numerical parameters enables you to write a program and then execute it.
Let me give you an example that uses some of the simplest commands.
Imagine you were stood on a large sheet of paper and left a trail of paint when you walked..
Now follow these instructions..
(Walk) FORWARD 10 (steps)
(Turn) RIGHT 144 (degrees)
Now REPEAT (these actions) 4 ( more times)
If you looked at the sheet of paper then you would see a large Pentagram (5 pointed star).
It's that simple!
By using a turtle to draw with a trail of paint behind it you can draw anything and in a far more accessible way than normal Vectrex programming.
I have implemented user variables, subroutines, conditions and branches. This gives you a VERY free hand in terms of what to do. I
calculate there are over 1.1 * 10^70 program permutations.
You can create complex fractals or just draw a circle its all up to the user. Best of all once you have written a program you can email it to your friends and they can use and modify it, and then send it back to you!"

where published by MB Canada, and have both english and french

If i am correct there are 4 kind of vectrex boxes: Japanese,

Bought Vectrex with 11 games [oct 16 2004] |

I bought a Vectrex with 11 boxed games today. They are
all in MINT condition. The Vectrex belonged to Ad
Visser (dutch presentor of TopPop in the 70's), according to the seller. The Vectrex and the games
look like they have never been played with. My overcomplete games
are now on ebay
(and the GCE versions from this collection).

Retrogaming in Maarssen [june 25 2004] |

On Saturday June 19th, I was showing my Vectrex and Dreamcast
collection at the Retrogaming Show in
Maarssen. The youth was more interested in my Dreamcast then my
Vectrex, as you can see.
Dutch national papers where also present and wrote about
Retrogaming. All major and smaller systems where shown, and visitors could try
them out.

Joystick works perfectly, it has minestorm overlay, scramble, armor attack, star ship (with overlay), fortress of narzod (with overlay), star hawk and cosmic chasm. But the bonus is: Minestorm cartridge.

Bought a secondhand Vectrex ! [1st november 2002]
|
After selling one almost twenty years ago, I bought a secondhand Vectrex.
Games included: Minestorm, Scramble, Cosmic Chasm, Web Warp, Star Ship, Clean Sweep,
Fortressof Narzod, Space Wars, Armor Attack and Rip Off. I just miss one overlay: Armor Attack.
Paid 150 Euro, not bad uh.
