Reproduction 3D goggles

John has been working on reproduction 3D goggles for the Vectrex for some time. In april 2006 I had the chance to test the goggles, and the effect was brilliant on Minestorm 3D and Narrow Escape 3D. Alex (Vectorzoa) took my set of goggles for some more testing because some effects/colors where not accurate enough.
June 2006 the first sets where officially shipped, including mine. Again some tests from the new owners (especially on Crazy Coaster) showed a few bugs and now with a new set of colorwheels available, the reproduction 3D goggles from Madtronix (John) are now 100% ready for a broader public.
With my set of goggles came a
-multicart with the 3D games, and a few more titles.
-instructions,
-the color wheels needed with the 3D games,
-and the goggles of course.
The goggles are made in a welding mask. The mask can be altered to fit your head very well. The colorwheel has to be attached to the mask, and when you start a 3D game the wheel starts to spin.
I don't own a set of original goggles, so this was my first experience with the 3D.
The effect is amazing, and it's also fun to see multi colored vectrex games. There are 3 titles which use the goggles (Minestorm 3D, Narrow Escape and Crazy Coaster), but George (Fury Unlimited) has released the first homebrew 3D game, and it seems there will be coming more titles from George.
If you have a set of original goggles, you want to buy this repro set, to keep your precious collection safe, and if you don't have a set of original goggles you don't have to pay large sums of money to get a pair of goggles and see the amazing 3d effect on your old Vectrex.
The goggles are 65 euro, and you can buy a multicart with the 3d games for an additional 10 euro. More info and shipping cost, email John, check his site: madtronix

Yep, I can confirm the new wheels are great. My GCE imagers are now safely stowed behind glass and the Macallan Imager is my imager of choice. It's superior for 3 reasons:
1, It doesn't cost over 100GBP so I don't need to treat it like it's make of rice paper
2, It doesn't leave a black mark on my head from the 20 year old decomposing sweat band.
3, Changing the wheels is easy and painless on the MI. Whereas this is a royal pain on the GCE imagers and the wheels can be easily and instantly damaged if you open the imager whilst its still spinning.
Great work John! Now all we need is the pneumatic chair!
well,
where are this infos?
I want to have this goggles noooowwww ;-)
check www.madtronix.com to contact John, i have not received the final prices yet
